When it’s time to start transitioning my wardrobe into fall I get all in a tizzy.. all the fashion bloggers are posting these adorable chunky cardigans, scarves & jackets, while I’m sitting here in the midwest, sweating because we’re still in a heat wave. I just gotta calm down a bit and remember… my time will come! Haha! So, my transition from summer to fall looks a little different then it does for some gals.
I transition slowly, by adding fall pieces into my summer pieces & as the weather gets warmer, then I can grab those cozy cardigans & cute scarves.
One must have in my wardrobe are solid light weight sweaters – they allow me to wear them through the seasons & mix them with a lot of different pieces… from skinny jeans, skirts, colored denim/pants & even shorts. This oatmeal colored sweater from J.Jill is perfect for that. It’s light weight and it’s easy to wear casually or dressed up a bit. This sweater is new to the J.Jill collection & available in a few different colors. Like I said, the oatmeal/camel color is a great color for every women to have, as it’s a classic. What makes this specific one stand out though is the layered-hem.

Since we’re talking about transitioning from summer to fall – this is a typical outfit for me in the early days of fall. If I’m going with a long sleeved top, I tend to toss on a cute pair of shorts with sandals or even a pair of low profile booties. Keeping me comfortable all day.

As the weather gets cooler though, and for some of you that’s the case. I like to add my skinny jeans, booties & scarves to pull together the fall season. So while I’m sweating right now, I’m dreaming of fall and soft cozy layers.
