Yay for spring! Now we just need the temperatures to cooperate here in Northern Illinois and that would put a real smile on my face. When the weather starts getting nicer I start wearing dresses a lot more, so I thought it would be fitting to share 3 dress for your spring wardrobe and a couple of different ways you can style each, to make them more versatile for your wardrobe.
I’m obsessing over this mock neck maxi dress from the Pure Jill line at J.Jill. Available in black and this soft dune heather. It’s stunning, with a slit up the back. It’s soft, has pockets & if you’re on the shorter side (I’m 5’4″ and wearing a size small) you don’t have to worry about it dragging on the ground. I love it worn alone with a cute pair of wedge sandals (similar) for spring & a large statement necklace.
If layers are your jam in the spring (like mine) then grab your favorite utility/military jacket to give this mock neck maxi dress another look.
A denim jacket (current style from Kohls) is my go-to (as you probably know) and this denim jacket paired over top gives it that stylish, chic look I love. Add a number of jackets or cardigans to this dress to really give it a stand out look. You won’t want to take this one off once you put it on. Great for everyday and daily work wear.
Gingham Rayon-Twill Shirt Dress from J.Jill! Do I need to say more when it comes to a shirt dress? Gingham is still super on trend and how fabulous is this worn alone? I have the sleeves rolled with the rolled tabs, but left down it’s great for even those chilly days. Pairing it with these amazing stretch black leggings, new from Aventura. You’ll be seeing these on repeat because they’re just that comfortable and light weight for spring.
If you want to break up the pattern a bit, add a great jacket. I love going with lighter colors for spring and with there being a lot of black I’m going with this light weight, stretch white denim jacket from Aventura and adding a pop of color with these red flats.
Florals are hugely on trend right now, whether it be in a dress, top or a cute pair of pointe pants. This A-Line floral dress is fun if you’re looking for something feminine and light weight, featuring pockets and available in solid colors as well. I’m pairing it with a long white cardigan and wedge sandals here. If you like something just a bit more edgy…
Like me, this is more of my vibe. A denim jacket and strappy wedge sandals. Adding a statement necklace to pull it together and breaking up the floral print.
Lets pray for warmer weather and we can step out in our favorite dresses, bare some skin on our legs & show off that updated pedicure. Are you want to wear dresses when the spring weather arrives? Which look is your favorite?
