I recently had my first experience shopping online at ThredUp. I’ve heard a lot about them and even looked into selling my items on their site, but had never actually sat down, browsed the site & purchased. I’m all for secondhand shopping, and my experience with them will definitely keep me shopping in the future.
If you’re not familiar with ThredUp; they’re the largest online marketplace for women & children’s clothing, with thousands of items to choose from & many like new. They even have an app, that’s extremely easy to use (I actually purchased by using the app,) easy to navigate and narrow down your searches to find exactly what you’re looking for.
I ended up with three, like new items and my favorite being this orange Ann Taylor Loft tank top that has quickly become a staple item in my wardrobe. I was extremely happy that the item(s) was exactly as the description said and for a fraction of the cost of purchasing it new. It’s also a classic / basic piece that is great for layering and mixing and matching, so it will be in my closet until it needs to be replaced.
Tip for shopping ThredUp for the first time. It can be a bit overwhelming, so unlike shopping regular stores online or instore, they have thousands of items. It’s fine to just browse through, but if you go in with an idea of what you’re looking for it will cut your time down & allow you to find exactly what you’re searching for. Example: I wanted to add yellow & orange into my wardrobe, so I started there and found the perfect orange tank top.
I have a strong love for a great jacket & I was thrilled with the selection I was able to find at ThredUp, and though secondhand, they were all labeled like new & that’s exactly what I got. I found the cute & fun cropped camo jacket & also the floral faux leather (both pictured above,) which is fun to take a leather look and make it just a bit more feminine.
Right now ThredUp is having an Ann Taylor Loft deal, so by using coupon code ANNTAYLOR50, you an take 50% off your first-time Ann Taylor orders, discount up to $50.
