Tips to Simplify Date Night

Do you make a regular habit of date night? Depending on what season of life you’re in, date night can be easy and exciting to plan, or a real struggle. My husband and I have been good at making date nights a priority depending on what season of life we’re in. Currently, with a six month old and four other children with schedules, it has gotten put on the back burner & a lot of times I miss those regular dates we had while we were dating & kids hadn’t come along yet. However, if you’re looking for tips to simplify date night then here are a few tips to get you going, because date night shouldn’t be stressful! With the use of your smartphone, like your new iPhone7, you can make it even easier.

Tips to Simplify Date Night
  1. First, make date night a priority. Sit down with your significant other and GET IT ON THE CALENDAR. If it’s on the calendar you are much more likely to make it happen!
  2. Make a plan as to what you’re going to do. You can use the OpenTable app, which helps planning date even easier. This app allows you to book a reservation at many restaurants in North American with ease. You can even read reviews, information & find out about general aesthetics and appropriate attire. If you have Apply Pay you don’t even have to use cash, but put that iPhone 7 to use and pay that way.
  3. Poynt is a great app to help maximize a night on the town and will make suggestions based on location. For example, if you want to grab drinks after dinner, Poynt will use location services to determine the closest hot spot for post-dinner fun. I love this idea if maybe you’re meeting a new potential interest in a new place, or if you and your spouse went to a new town to check things out. This is great if you’re on a little getaway as well.
  4. If you feel comfortable with letting a service find a sitter for you, Date Night by Care.com is a resource for hardworking parents who need a peaceful evening away from home. This recently launched app allows users to locate sitters in their area and then links to OpenTable and Fandango to assist in planning the perfect dinner and movie date. All the work done right from your mobile device.

What can you offer for those looking for tips to simplify date night? Do you have anything that’s really worked for you to keep date night as a priority in your relationship?
